Obituary
George David Williams
April 9, 1955 – December 6, 2020
It is with great regret that we announce the passing of George David Williams. George was born April 9, 1955 in Revelstoke BC. He spent his early childhood in Vanderhoof, BC, and moved to Ladysmith with his family in his teens. He worked in commercial fishing for many years, but moved to a career with Doman’s sawmill in the 80s and 90s, for a more stable income to support his young family. He later worked for Western Forest Products and Home Hardware in Ladysmith.
George enjoyed fishing and books, and was a very talented wood-worker – he was very good at turning the smallest scraps into beautiful creations. He was a jack of all trades and an adept handy-man, quick to offer help, a kind word, or a bad joke.
He is predeceased by his parents Dolly and Jim, and his first wife Teresa, and will be greatly missed by his son Zack and daughter Melissa, his three grandchildren, his second wife and former spouse Colleen, her daughter Ashley, his brothers, his sisters, many nieces and nephews, and of course, his extended Eagles family and friends.
Due to Covid, there will be no celebration of life at this time.
