THORNHILL, George Ambrose ¬– Passed peacefully away at Saint Luke’s Nursing Home on August 23rd, 2020 at the age of 83. Predeceased by his parents Maria and Russell Thornhill and by his beautiful daughter, Sherry Lynn. Left to mourn with loving memories, his wife of 62 years, Adelaide; children: Greg (Bernie), Brenda (Paul), Sam (Susan), Roger (Judy) and his special “daughter” Shelia (Todd) and Son-In-Law, Charlie; grandchildren Paul (Pamela), Wade (Karen), Jamie (Krista), Julie, Jake, Luke, Liam, Kevin and Gregory; sisters Phyllis (Johnny), Vivian (Dale), and Roma (Wayne); and many other family and friends who he cherished. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Tuesday, August 25th from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26th at Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel at 11:00 AM with internment to follow. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Saint Luke’s Nursing Home for the exceptional care provided to their precious father during the final weeks of his life. Donations to Saint Luke’s Nursing Home would be greatly appreciated in George’s memory.
