Geoffrey’s Obituary
Milner, Geoffrey Alva – 87, Amherst, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Alva and Ruby (McNulty) Milner. Geoff was known as a jack of all trades. He worked at Robb’s Engineering, Maritime Sod and later as a long-haul truck driver, a job he loved. Geoff enjoyed being outdoors whether it was cutting and splitting wood or camping in his fifth wheel with Betty and his family. He also enjoyed a game of cards and bowling. He is survived by wife Betty; daughter, Linda (Gary) Noiles; sons, Stephen (Sandra) and Jeffery; grandchildren, Mark (Heather) Ells; Stephanie (Kelly) Chappell; Nicholas and Matthew (Kirstin) Noiles; great-grandchildren, Kelsea (Alex) and Emma Chappell; MacKenzie and Alyssa Ells; Zoey Noiles. Brothers, Charlie (Kathy); Wallace (Lorraine); Doug (Linda); Raymond (Heather); sister, Jean (Bert) Rose. Numerous nieces and nephews. Stepdaughters, Beverly (Tim) Mills; Donna Taylor (Eddy); Crystal (Austin) MacDonald; 11 step grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marion; daughter, Gail; stepdaughter, Evelyn Murray. Arrangements are in the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Oxford (902-447-2930). A family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.
