Genevieve’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Genevieve Benoit announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing, NL on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at the age of 94 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her two daughters; Shirley (Jack) Crane in Port Au Port, Sandy Benoit in Port Au Port, four grandchildren; Jan, John, Victoria, Felicia, six great grandchildren; Kassidy, Ellie, Grayson, Harper, Hadley, Gage and one great great grandchild Kaylee.
Also leaving to mourn her siblings Mallard Young, Rose, Thomas, Marilyn, Debbie, Dorreen and Bobby, daughter-in-law Linda along with a large circle of other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Michael & Mary Young, her uncle Tom (Laura) Retieffe who raised her, husband Cecil Benoit, son Michael, daughter Victoria, brothers; Clifton, Raymond and her sister Elizabeth.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and due to Covid-19 restrictions a service by invitation only will be held at Maria Regina Parish in Port Au Port, NL on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at 10 a.m. with burial to follow at Berry Head Cemetery in Port Au Port, NL.
