With great love and sadness, the family announces the passing of Gaylon Harry Hudson. He passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Centre on Friday, September 18, 2020 at the age of 74. Gaylon was born in Innisfail on May 31, 1946. He grew up on the family farm at Garrington, where he grew his passion for farming. He farmed for many years and then became a well operator in the oilfield. He finished off his working career at the Eagle Hill Co-Op where he loved his job and visiting with all of the customers. When he wasn’t farming, he was curling or playing ball and spending time with family and friends. He had a love of sports that never wavered and when his kids started playing he became their greatest fan. In his later years, he took pride in watching his grandsons play hockey and lacrosse. After moving into Bowden in 1995 he took up the game of golf and loved every moment on the course and all the people he met. Gaylon will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years Nancy (nee Mark); daughter Sara (Adam) Willert and son Chris Hudson; grandchildren Brody and Cole Willert; sister Ilene Jones, nephew Terry Jones, and ex-brother in law Morley Jones; sister in law Brenda (Dave) Kay, nephews Jonathan (Shayna), Andrew (Violante); niece Jennifer (Taylor) as well as great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his parents Florence and Harry Hudson; siblings Florence, Ron, and Velma; brother in law Ron Banister and in laws Jean and Bud Mark. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made directly to the Expanding Horizons Bowden Cultural Enhancement Society (Paterson Community Hall), Box 342, Bowden, AB T0M 0K0 or charity of your choice.
