It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Gary Sylvester Stapleton of Point May announces his passing at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s on Monday, October 19th, 2020, at the age of 61. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his spouse of 19 years; Sylvia Greeley; daughters, Robyn Stapleton (Jeremy), Vicki Stapleton (Luke); step-sons, Darren Cutler (Lee), James Greeley; grandchildren, Sarah Coady, Gavin Coady; sister, Wanda Bonnell (Wade); brothers, Kevin Stapleton (Darlene), Wayne Stapleton (Mary), Keith Stapleton ( Ruth), Terry Stapleton (Terrylyn); special friends, ELi and Donnie Stacey, David Stacey, Karl Hodge, Max King and Herb Monster.; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Gary was predeceased by parents, Sylvester and Mildred Stapleton; Darren Stacey who was like a son to him.
The Stapleton Family will be holding a walk through visitation at their home on Saturday, October 24th, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Sunday, October 25th, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Due to Covid-19 social distancing and masks are required, with a maximum of 20 people at one time. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at The Church of the Most Holy Rosary in Point May on Monday, October 26th, 2020 at 2:30 pm.
Inurnment to follow at R.C, Cemetery, Allan’s Island. In Gary’s memory donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, or flowers gratefully accepted.
