My deepest sympathy goes out to Tim, Cindy, Hannah, Sam, Bill, Brenna and the rest of the family. I will forever cherish all the times we spent together with both Uncle Garnie and Auntie Ag. The stories Uncle Garnie told were something else. If they were true he made them sound so funny it made you think that can’t be! Just thinking of him makes me smile…with tears. I could write a book on all the times we spent together that he had us in stitches. Naming all his dogs Fartsy was a little hard to explain when our five year old grandson wanted to tell others about his wonderful dog. He knew he shouldn’t swear but he took pleasure in telling everyone about his great great uncle’s dog that was named Fartsy. Uncle Garnie’s tenacity in looking after Auntie Ag was something to behold. I sincerely hope I have somebody look after me as Uncle Garnie did with my my aunt. I do believe his excitement in all his endeavours, from his drywall business to his car museum, made us all more excited about what we were doing in our lives. Uncle Garnie was a self man man who looked after all his family from his parents to his grandchildren. And I will miss him terribly. From the day Auntie Ag introduced me to Uncle Garnie, 62 years ago, I knew he was somebody special. He was and always will be to me. I loved him then and I love him now.
