BLISS, Garnet Albert (Retired Toronto Fire Fighter) – It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Garnet at the Belleville General Hospital on Friday, July 10th, 2020. Garnet of Brighton, was in his 89th year. Loving son of the late Jack and Myrtle Bliss. Beloved husband of 32 years to Jean Bliss (nee Coyle). Dear father to Jennifer Heideman, John Bliss (Sandi), late Karen Sanders, Bill Smith, Linda Howe, and Peter Smith. Also remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brother Thomas Bliss (late Beatrice). The family will receive friends at the RUSHNELL FUNERAL CENTRE 60 Division St., Trenton (613-392-2111) on Wednesday, July 15th, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment St. George’s Cemetery. Due to the current health concerns, we can have no more than 40 people in attendance in the funeral home to comply with ministry standards. Please practice and respect social distancing during your stay. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
