Gale P. Coleman
1937-2020
Gale Patrick Coleman – age 83, of Steam Mill, Kings
County, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 in the Valley
Regional Hospital – Valley Hospice, Kentville. He spent most
of his working career as a carpenter and was later employed as a
woodsman, from where he retired. In retirement, he returned to his
love of building and worked in his shop for his remaining years. He
also loved sports, especially hockey and baseball, which he played in
his younger years. Gale was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting,
fishing and trapping. He is survived by his four children, Patrick
Coleman, (grandchildren, Amanda Kinsmen and Joe Coleman); Coralee
George (grandchild, Melissa Halliday); Andrew Coleman (grandchild,
MacKenzie Coleman); and Peter Coleman (grandchildren, Lynden Coleman
and Ryan Norton). Both dad and mom will be dearly missed by the
family. They were truly the best parents and grandparents anyone could
ask for. May they be happy to be back together again. In addition to
his parents, Gale was predeceased by his wife, Gwendlyn
“Gail” (Alders). Gale was the last surviving son of
the late Joseph and Estella (Zwicker) Coleman. In addition to his wife
and parents, he was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters, Ken
Coleman, Olive Reeves, Chester Coleman, Lulu Bennett, Helen Lake,
Bernard Coleman, Archnell Coleman, Fulton Coleman, Belle Ward and Wade
Coleman. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or
funeral service, by request. Donations in memory may be made to a
charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to
the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
