Fredrick Filbrandt October 13th 2020

Fred (aka Derf) passed away peacefully on October 13, 2020.
Fred is remembered with love by his wife, Wendy, of 49 years, and his 4 children, Raymond Filbrandt (Liz), Janette Smart (Al), Lynnaya Munro (Nadia) and Azure Kinch (Jeff), his 8 grandchildren, Brendan Filbrandt (Destiny), Ryan Filbrandt, Rheann Grassick (Chase), Dustin Smart (Jessica), Tyler Loose, Cole Kinch, Cooper Kinch, Samantha Fillion (Chase), and his great grandson, Finn Grassick.
Fred is also survived and remembered by his sister, Laurie Rieger, his former son-in-law, Jeff Frasch (father of granddaughter Samantha Fillion) and Lance Loose (father of grandson Tyler Loose). He was also loved by his brothers in law Ray Anderson (Sylvia) and Ron Anderson (Corinne) plus many cousins, nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Barbara Filbrandt, and his sister, Patricia Longhetto.
Fred was born and grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan. He moved to Penticton where he met Wendy and later moved to Vernon. He had a fulfilling career with OK Welders for over 35 years. Fred provided quality customer service and always went above and beyond treating his customers like family. He always had a smile on his face and a toothpick in his mouth. He was a member of Gyro and the Lions Club and enjoyed time with his family, golf, gardening, classic cars and jazz music and he sure knew his way around a pool table.
A family celebration of Fred’s life will take place next summer.
See you on the 19th hole Derf!

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Fredrick Filbrandt October 13th 2020..
