Obituary
Fred Perlman
Peacefully at his home in Sarnia, Fred passed away May 1, 2020 at the age of
96. Devoted husband of the Late Doris Perlman. Beloved father of Michael
Perlman (MaryLee), Brights Grove, David Perlman (Tina), London and Jeannine
Callan (Brian ), Toronto. Grandfather of Chris Perlman (Rebecca), Steve
Perlman (Kendra), Ben Perlman, Lucas Perlman, Naomi Callan, Joe Callan
(Kochava), Manny Callan and Arye Callan. Great grandfather of Joshua,
Nathaniel and Sloane.
Fred was a retiree of Dow Chemical and a veteran of the RCAF in WWII. His
wife Doris passed away after a long illness in 1992. He had an active
retirement with many friends and social activities. He could usually be
found on Saturday nights dancing at the Bridge Tavern. He was an avid
reader, loved music, theatre and movies. A humble intellectual who could
discuss any topic.
In his final weeks, Fred was cared for around the clock by his family. We
are grateful to the Palliative Care Team , Dr. Crombeen, Anne Douglas, VON
nurses (Laura) and PSW (Tonya and Kara). A private family burial has taken
place.
Sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Sarnia Public Library. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE.
