November 21, 1938 – October 27, 2020

On Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Fred Scharenberg; husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away after a short illness at the age of 81 years. Fred will be forever remembered by his wife of 60 years and best friend Doreen and their children, Ruth (Bob), Linda (Harvey) and Cindy. A special place will be held in the hearts of his grandchildren Vanessa (Justin), Carley and Justin (Seanisty) as well as his great grandchildren Ryder, Abigail and Grayson. Fred will also be forever remembered by his sisters, nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.
Immigrating to Canada as a teen, Fred came to Dryden and this is where he made his life. He worked at the Dryden Paper Mill until his retirement in 1995. He was a devoted member of the Dryden Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge for many years and held several positions with the Lodge. Fred enjoyed travelling and spent many miles on the road in his motorhome. His other interests included fishing, photography, playing cards and having coffee with his friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
