Franklin’s Obituary
Wilkins, Franklin Allen – Age 73, passed away peacefully Friday September 11th, 2020 at Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Facility, Middleton. Born in Middleton, raised in Port Lorne, he was the son of the late Morton and Geraldine (Sabean) Wilkins. He was a devote member of Church of the Nazarene and faithful to his beliefs throughout his life. Frank enjoyed his daily devotions and numerous religious books. In his younger years, Frank loved to play hockey and fish off the wharf in Port Lorne. He was a graduate of the Service Attendant Program at the Middleton Vocational School. His family and friends are grateful for the care he received while a resident at Heart of the Valley. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Wilkins, Middleton; life-long friend, Jack Sabean, Nictaux, faithful friend Bob Keith, and several cousins. Besides his parents, Franklin was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Ann in infancy. A memorial service will be held on Thursday September 24th at Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., Middleton, N.S. toll free 1-855-825-3448. Interment will follow in Fundy View Cemetery, Port Lorne. Pastor Dianne Elliott officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in memory may be made to Annapolis Valley Community Church of the Nazarene, Tremont.
