Francis “Barry”‘s Obituary
STEWART, Francis “Barry” – 73, of Shelburne passed away peacefully on January 19, 2020 at Roseway Hospital, Sandy Point. He was the son of the late Eldridge and Althine (Smith) Stewart. In Barry’s earlier days he was a fisherman and he enjoyed rabbit hunting and watching wrestling when he wasn’t on the water. No matter where he went or what he did Douglas was always there on his shoulders travelling with him. Barry always had his doors open to all the kids in the neighbourhood rather they needed a place to sleep, something to eat or just to talk. Barry was kind and loving to everyone he met through-out his life, he was happy just to be home with his friends and family. Barry is survived by sons; Douglas (Sara), Barry Stewart Jr., John Hartley and daughter Carmen Stewart Ricci. Brothers; Dave, Jack, Buck “Michael” and sister Debbie; grandchildren, Jasmine Albert, Dakota Albert, Jordan Hartley and Theodore Nickerson. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters; Margaret, Gloria, and Sandra . Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd, Shelburne. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday January 25th, at 2:00 p.m. from Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne with Reverend Ed Trevors officiating. Memorial donations in Barry’s name can be made to a charity of choice. On-line condolences for the family can be left at www.huskilson.net
