Woodworth, Floyd Kenneth – Age 86, of Carrolls Corner, passed away peacefully in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro on August 29, 2020 as the result of kidney failure due to cancer.
Floyd worked in construction all his life, running heavy equipment. The last 20 years he was employed with DOT Halifax International Airport, as a foreman airside. He loved hunting especially trips to Newfoundland and Cape Breton moose hunting. He also enjoyed fishing in Higgins and Dollar Lakes. Everyone knew of his passion for Fords and that he would never drive anything else!
Floyd is survived by his wife of 62 years, Annie (Wilkie); sons, Kenny (Elizabeth), Allen (Shelley), Brian (Rosalie); grandsons, Darren, Zachary; granddaughters, Nadine, Stephanie; great-granddaughters, Calie, Aubrey; and sister-in-law, Helen.
He was predeceased by his parents, Irwin and Alice (Murray); brother, Ralph; twin brothers and a sister in infancy.
Cremation has taken place.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held with burial in Gays River Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Gays River Cemetery or a charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
