Florence’s Obituary
LINACY – Florence Sophia MacDonald, 95, Linacy, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August, 26, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Hadleyville, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Wentworth and Aida Hadley. After marrying her husband, John MacDonald, she resided in Linacy all her life. Florence was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow. In earlier years, she was employed with the Aberdeen Hospital. Florence was an immaculate homemaker and loved her family dearly. She possessed a desire to serve her Lord. For Florence, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are her sons, Doug (Susan) MacDonald, New Glasgow; Jim (Sandra) MacDonald, Halifax; Brian (Elaine) MacDonald, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Christopher and Angela; great-grandchildren, Brighton, Avery and Autumn; sister, Alice Allen, Valley View Villa, Riverton; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John; sisters, Margaret Hadley and Lena Dwyer; brothers, Ernest, Lewis, Howard, Thomas and Earl Hadley.
A private graveside service will be held in MacLellan’s Mountain Cemetery.
