1929-2020
Florence M. Cleghorn of Tweedside, NB, wife of the late John (Jack)
Cleghorn, passed away at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB on July 17,
2020. Florence was born at Bear Island, NB, a daughter of the late
Donald and Hazel (Sharpe) Corey. She began work as a school teacher
and later was employed as a caregiver at Swanhaven Special Care Home.
For several years Florence and Jack managed the bowling alley in
Harvey.
She is survived by her son Corey Cleghorn and his wife Belinda; two
granddaughters, Anita Leeman (Bill) and Diana Roy (Darrell); seven
great grandchildren, Wayne, Brenden, Jenna, Brittany, Damen, Nathaniel
and Ashlyn; her brothers, Vernon (Stella), Edward (Verna), Frank
(Marion) and Leo (late Gail); her sisters, Lee Aguis and Christina
LeMoine (Ray); sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Lucy Corey;
brother-in-law, Allen O’Neill and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Florence was predeceased by
sisters, Violet Keetch (Wendall) and Helen O’Neill and brothers
Eugene (Betty), Lloyd, George and Alex Corey and sister-in-law Violet
McCullough (Edgar).
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis
Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday, July 20, 2020 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
with social distancing respected. A funeral service for invited
family and friends will be held later with Rev. Basil Lowery
officiating. Interment will be at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Florence, the
family has suggested the Harvey Settlement Cemetery.
