Florence Marie Elizabeth Goobie
1934-2020
At the conclusion of a wonderful lifetime of 85 years,
including 63 years with her loving husband, and a hard fought battle
with cancer, Florence Goobie of Riverview passed away peacefully at
the Grass Home in Riverview on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
Her family members are particularly grateful to Bill, her eldest son,
who spent much of his days in recent months caring for his Mom and
Dad.
Born in St. John’s, NL, she was the daughter of the
late Malcolm and Margaret (Brown) White. She was a wonderful and
devoted mother to her three children, who she was so proud of, along
with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She truly cherished
every moment spent with them. Florence also enjoyed spending time in
her garden, playing bridge with friends as well as reading a good book
and sharing her time with her family and friends.
She will be forever in the hearts of her devoted husband,
Bernard. Daughter, Jill Harvey (Robin). Sons, Bill and Scott (Verina).
Her dear sister, Alice Clift. Grandchildren, Ryan, Adam, Sabrina,
Jason, Nathan, Robert and Meghan and great grandchildren, Raelyn,
Grace, Lucas, Hunter and Leah. Besides her parents she was predeceased
by a dear brother, Brenden.
A celebration of Florence’s life for her friends
and family will be held later this year due to the current
restrictions on gatherings. Donations to The Friends of The
Moncton Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The
arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and
Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007). Online
