Florence Agnes Drisdelle Lagace Sunday June 7th 2020

The family announces with great sorrow, the passing of Florence Drisdelle (nee Lagace), 98 years, on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Health Sciences North. Beloved wife of Edgar Drisdelle (predeceased). Loving mother of Terrence (predeceased), Lorne (Anita), and Allan (Karin). Loving grandmother to Stuart, Christian, Amanda, and Steven, and much-loved great grandmother. Born in Belledune, New Brunswick, on April 6, 1922 to Margaret and Alphonse Lagace (both predeceased). She had many wonderful brothers and sisters. She held fond memories of the East Coast, and told many great stories of her time there. Long time member of the Catholic Woman’s League at Our Lady of Hope Church, and the Royal Canadian Legion, Lockerby Branch, where she will affectionately be remembered for her poise and always dressing to the nines. The family would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences North and her most loving and devoted caretaker Missy, for their dedication and compassion. “The tide recedes but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, and yet it echoes on in sweet refrain…. For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.” – Anonymous. Due to the Pandemic, a family gathering will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Florence’s memory directly to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Inner City Home. Arrangements entrusted to the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME.
