Obituary
After courageously living with Multiple Sclerosis for many years, it is with great sadness & heavy hearts the family of Evelyn Leduc announce her passing on September 14th, 2020, with a vigil of family & friends remaining by her side at the Father Lacombe Care Center, in Calgary, Alberta. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend.
She leaves to mourn her loving husband of nearly 43 years, Gerard; her 3 daughters, Jodie Weber, Tracey Doyscher (Chad) & Candace Leduc; her son Mathew Leduc (Tammara); and 5 grandchildren: Jerrith Leduc Owen Leduc, Cole Leduc, Olivia Doyscher and Wyatt Doyscher. Also mourning her loss are her sisters & brothers, numerous nieces & nephews, relatives, and many loving friends.
Evelyn was born in High Prairie to Melvin & Yvonne Koll of Edmonton, Alberta on November 14, 1951 she was the 10th of 11 children (Ellen Desnoyers, Forest Koll, Garth Koll, Gordon Koll, Jeanne Chrétien, Mansell Koll, Ray Chrétien, Sally Casavant, Theresa Klassen & Verna Hollinger).
She will be remembered for her huge heart & ability to give of herself. This was evident through many years of fostering children & teaching them how to love unconditionally, be a family & eventually be thriving independent adults. She was a loyal & dedicated employee from the time she worked for Child & Family Services in St. Albert, Alberta to the many years she managed Rafters retail stores in Calgary, Alberta.
Evelyn is predeceased by her parents Melvin & Yvonne Koll; her sisters, Jeanne and Theresa; her brothers, Ray and Forest; many special relatives; her parents in-law Joseph & Yvonne Leduc; brothers in-law Bill Hollinger and Roland Desnoyers; and her niece Nicole Leduc.
Our family will forever be grateful to her doctors & nurses at the Father Lacombe Care Center & Calgary South Health Campus, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Evelyn’s love of life & dedication to her family will always be remembered.
The family has elected to hold a private Celebration of Life with a Funeral Mass and internment at a later date.
