EVELYN “EVE” MABB
Evelyn “Eve” Mabb , 98, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at Hillside Manor on Friday, November 20, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late James Mabb (1997). Dear mother of James Mabb (Theresa), Ted Mabb (Katherine) and Stephen Mabb (Christina). Loving grandmother of Chris Mabb (Sabrina), Kevin Mabb (Vickie), Shaun Mabb (Tristan), Denise Jerome (Rick), six step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents Edward “Ted” and Mary Todd, four sisters, Ivy, Florence, Maude and Winnifred.
Eve was proudly an East Ender, from London, England. With the outbreak of WWII, Eve enlisted as a Fire Defense Volunteer during the Battle of Britain. She was wounded as a result of bomb blast in 1942. Eve married a Canadian soldier and arrived in Mitchell, on July 1, 1946. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, was a Life Member of the Auxiliary to Branch 128, Royal Canadian Legion.
