Evalin passed peacefully after a long and full life and just 12 days before her 97th birthday.
Born in St. Clements, Manitoba, Evalin moved to BC and resided in Surrey for many years relocating to Chilliwack several years ago. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Leonard Charles (Chuck) Wild, and eldest son Dennis Singbeil.
Evalin is survived by a loving family – son Len and wife Joan, son Randy, granddaughter Kristie, partner Rob, and great grandchildren, Maddox, Kalen, Paxton, Nykka and youngest granddaughter Melissa, husband Adam and their newborn, great granddaughter Charlie Mae Wild Sera born April 24. Mom had not been well the past few months and determined to be here for Charlie’s arrival.
With a close family and 13 siblings Evalin is also survived by Georgina (Burnaby), Lorine (Sicamous) and Harold and wife Ellen (Vancouver Island) and their families.
Evalin enjoyed sewing and crafts; she was known by many for her centre pieces and festive decorations. She was an avid reader recently enjoying many audio books and before losing much of her sight, crosswords were another favourite pastime.
The family would like to acknowledge and express gratitude to Dr. Bevan Voth and his team for exceptional care over the years, to Chilliwack General Hospital for their care, support and allowing a final visit, Fraser Health Team for valuable support , Crystal (valued personal support) and to Lifestyles Independent Living for their exceptional care, support and kindness during Evalin’s short time with them.
Evalin will be forever remembered by family for her spirit, determination and resilience.
