EDGAR, Ethel May
Passed away peacefully at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Tuesday March 31, 2020. She was 91 years old. Ethel (Dowdall) was predeceased by her husband Alexander “Bill” Edgar. They were married 54 years. She was the beloved mother of Katherine Gallagher (Richard) of Astorville, David Edgar of Toronto and Margaret Edgar of Toronto. She will be lovingly remembered by her three grandchildren Stacy (Heidi) Gallagher, David Gallagher (Teresa) and Carrie Vandeberg and two great-grandchildren Rachelle and Bethany. Ethel was predeceased by her sister Laura Everest (late Jim). Ethel enjoyed her life in North Bay. She loved gardening, children and pets. She was a wonderful knitter and enjoyed taking long walks all her adult life, especially to the waterfront on Lake Nipissing. She was a kind friend to all and always loved to hear how you were doing. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the NBRHC, Waters Edge and Cassellholme where she lived her last year. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ethel’s life will be announced at a later date. Ethel was a supporter of many charities. Should you wish to make a donation in her memory, please choose your favourite.
