Mr. Ernie Glassford
At his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday October 18th, 2020, Mr. Ernie Glassford of Chatham passed away in his 94th year. Beloved son of the late Harold and Alma Glassford. Best friend and cherished husband of Kay (Emrich) for over 74 years. Loving father of Jim and his wife Debby of Chatham, and Dennis of Chatham. Sadly missed by his treasured grandchildren Shaelynn Glassford, Jarrod Glassford, Aaron Glassford (Cynthia), Kyle Glassford (Adam), Vanessa Glassford, Janet Lindsay (Steve), Stephanie Weeks (Brad) and Michael Lindsay, and great grandchildren Kane, Layla, Cooper, Morghan, Olen, Abigail, Michaela, Isabella, Claudia, Kaliandra, Madison, and Benjamin, and great great grandson Thomas. Dear brother of Shirley Rayment of Chatham, and the late Charlene Jeffery. Survived by his nieces and nephews. Friends wishing to pay their respects to Ernie are invited to call the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, (519-352-2710) in advance to reserve a time for the visitation on Wednesday October 21st, 2020 with visiting from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service for Ernie will be conducted at St. Andrew’s United Church, 85 William St South, Chatham, on Thursday October 22nd, 2020 at 1 pm with Pastor Greg Simpson officiating. Friends wishing to attend the funeral service are invited to call the funeral home in advance to reserve a seat, as limited seating is available. All attendees as mandated by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario must wear a mask at all visitations and funerals Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
