Dad farmed and drove school bus for many years. Each one of his children started their first day of school with their Dad behind the wheel of the big yellow bus. Later, Dad left school bus driving and drove charter bus for the Notre Dame Hound School. He loved his time on the highway. He attended Southey Baptist Church his entire life, where he also served as trustee for many years. He helped at the church as much as he was able to. Dad loved his daily visit to the coffee shop in town, visiting with whoever graced the coffee shop that day. When he could no longer drive, he really missed these get-togethers. The last year of Dad’s life was spent at Parkside Extendicare until Covid claimed his life.
Grandpa loved his grandchildren and was proud of each one of you. He loved the times you spent at the farm with him from when you were very small to your grown-up years.
A private family service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020. Those so wishing may view the service online at youtu.be/TkHS6ay0bxE
