1932-2020
Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital Summerside on
Tuesday September 15, 2020 of Ernest Everett Biggar of Summerside aged
88 years. Born in Charlottetown January 14, 1932 son of the
late Stanford and Gladys (Parkman) Biggar. Loving husband of
65 years to Velma (MacKay) Biggar. Father of Donna
Jorgensen, Darla (Mike) Vaillancourt and Dwayne (Tania)
Biggar. Father-in-law of Cathy (Lee) MacDougall.
Grandfather of Cody (Aimee) Jorgensen, Autumn (Andrew) Marchbank,
Candace Champion, Chelsey (Jonathan) Andrews, Josh (Susan) Gill, Tasha
Gill, and Noah Biggar. Great-grandfather of Kate, Elliott,
Carter, Lydia, Anna, Emmaline, Avery, Ethan Peyton and
Hudson. Also remembered by his fur babies Jack and Jessie.
He was from a family of five and is survived by his brother Davison
Biggar and his sister Christine Crosby.
Predeceased by his son David Biggar, sisters Shirley Biggar
and Noelle McNamee and brother Roy Biggar.
He spent 23 years in the Air Force as a firefighter then
transferred to Charlottetown Air Port where he retired in
1989. After retirement, Ernie further enjoyed being an avid
outdoorsman by hunting, fishing and many hours of carving –
his blue heron became his trademark!
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. Due
to Covid 19 restrictions no public visitation will be held.
A private funeral service will be available to view online after 2
p.m. Friday October 2. Interment in People’s Cemetery
Kensington. If so desired contributions may be made to The
Prince County Hospital Foundation or Peoples Cemetery
Kensington.
