Erich passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital on October 3, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife Anneliese, and is survived by his children, Eberhard (Elizabeth), Andrea (Ron) and Christina (Larry); grandchildren, Anjeanine, Jessica, Elise, Ingrid, Nicholas and Kurtis; great-grandchildren, Randon, Maya and Nolan; and family in Germany and Switzerland.
After immigrating to Canada, Erich and Anneliese started a new life for their family in Winnipeg, which he was proud to call home. He was a draftsman by profession, and had a lifelong fascination with trains and tinkering with electronic devices. Erich was always happiest in the company of his family, regardless of the occasion, and would never refuse a visit to Tim Hortons.
