It is with broken hearts that the family of the late ERIC BANFIELD of Bay L’Argent announces his passing. Eric passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family in Bay L’Argent on Thursday, October 29th, 2020 at the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his; son, Sheldon (Lynette) of Bay L’Argent; daughters, Diane Reid (Allan) of Bay L’Argent, Bessie Fewer (Tom) of Bay L’Argent, and Donna Sutton (Paul) of Leduc, AB; 5 grandchildren, Stephen Reid, Kim Reid, Chad Fewer, Ericka Fewer, and Zach Sutton; 4 great-grandchildren, Brooke, Liam, Malin, Landon; step-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kaitlyn; brother-in-law, Ronald MacDonald of Burgeo; long time friends, Russell Pike, Vivian Dominaux, and Vera Strickland; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Eric was predeceased by his wife, Florence Banfield; parents, Raymond and Elizabeth Banfield; sister, Edythe MacDonald; stepmother, Dorothy Banfield; and grand-daughter-in-law, Carey Reid
The Banfield Family would like to say a special thank you to Eric’s home care workers, Brenda Baker, Denise Baker, Christina Baker, Shana Banfield, and Kelly Pittman. Also, Eric’s nurses, Rod Pike and Cheryl Fiander, thank you for your kindness and compassion, it will never be forgotten.
As per Eric’s wishes, cremation will take place and a funeral service will take place at a later time.
In Eric’s memory donations may be made to St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in Bay L’Argent.
