ENGLISH Terri Lynn October 8 2020

We are saddened to announce the passing of “Nana” to which she answered to her two terrific grandkids, Lincoln and Kensington (Kensi). Terri lost her short but fierce battle with cancer.
She will be forever missed by her husband of 41 years, Mike, and their two daughters Shannon (Mark) Fraser of Fairview and Ali of Edmonton. She will also be irreplaceable to her sister Nancy (Alan) Young and her brother Jim Ward (Cindy Zahevich), both of Calgary; and lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Terri was born in Calgary and was educated at both the U of C and SAIT and followed in her father’s footsteps, becoming an RIA accountant, which is now known as CMA. Terri and Mike first met in their first class in Business Administration. Graduation put here in the oil industry, but accounting company money was what she did best. She had recently retired from an eight year term with the Government of Alberta.
Terri was a blood donor, canvassed for causes and volunteered with organizations her children were active in She always enjoyed a trip to a warmer climate. In her later years, she became passionate about her daily walks, bike rides, and workouts at the Leduc Rec Centre.
Due to xc restrictions, a service for Terri will be arranged for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

  1. Dear Mike, Shannon, Ali, Nancy and Jim. I am in shock hearing this sad news and my heart is broken for all of you. Terri was not only an exemplary civil servant, but also a proud wife, mother and grandmother. I feel blessed and honoured to have had the opportunity to get to know Terri not only as a colleague, but also as a friend who could make me laugh when work days seemed tough. Hold onto all the wonderful memories Terri has left you with. Hugs to all of you.
