Memorial Donation
It is with great sadness that the family of Ena Priddle announce her passing on February 10th, 2020 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
Ena was born in Curling and moved to Stephenville with her job as a bookkeeper in 1947 where she met her husband, John. They enjoyed 64 years together and had five children, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Ena enjoyed writing poems, songs, and skits. She was the first female in the neighbourhood to get a driver license and then taught her friends to drive. Ena was involved in ACWA and PTA and other organizations in the community. She was very proud of her children, precious grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom gave her joy. She will be remembered as a loving mother, nannie, great-nannie, aunt and friend.
She will be sadly missed by; her children, John (Rosalind), Jean, Diane (Dave Murphy), daughter-in-law Diann, David (Carol Anne); grandchildren, Tammy, Kristie, Kelli, Shelley, Paul, Sara, Ryanne, Ian, Scott, Dana, Stephanie, Lauren, Sydney; and her great grandchildren, Brianna, Joshua, Jonathan, Sophia, Luke, Jaxon, Rebecca, Evelyn, Lewis, Alexander, Kate, and Sadie. She also leaves to mourn her brother Max, sister-in-law Ruth, close family friend Nellie Murphy, nieces and nephews, friends, and special friend Lorna Marche.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, John, son Max, son in law Charlie, parents John and Selina Musseau, and nine siblings.
The Family extends sincere thanks to the nursing staff and doctors on Ward 3B, the Palliative Care Ward at Western Memorial Hospital, Paramedics and to the Emergency Ward at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their care and compassion shown to mom and her family. Thank you also to those who supported mom and our family during her time in hospital, Reverend Russell, Reverend Loder, her nieces and nephews, and especially Jane Tobin, Beverly Fitzpatrick, and Betty Musseau.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church at 2:00 pm on February 14, 2020, followed by interment at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 2-4 and 7-9 on February 13, 2020. In lieu of flowers, as expression of sympathy, donations to a charity of one’s choice in Ena’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
Following the funeral services the family will be having a reception at the St Augustine’s Anglican Church Hall
