MAILLET, Emile – Age 86 of La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Bangor, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 in La Villa. Born in Meteghan Station, he was a son of the late Louis and Marie (Deveau) Maillet.
Emile operated a loader for N. Melanson Contractors Ltd for over 25 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Christine), Edmonton, Alberta; Ricky, Bangor; Kevin (Helen), Saulnierville Station; Steven (Brenda), Saulnierville Station; Jamie (Wendy), Edmonton, Alberta; Jason (Marlene), Saulnierville Station; brother, Lewis (Laura), Bangor; sisters, Alice Thibodeau, Church Point; Rachel (Delmar) Comeau, St. Benoni; grandchildren, Cory, Stacy, Christopher, Colin, Nicole, Luke, Justin, Chad; great grandchildren, Bentley, Brooklyn, Lilou, Mélodie, Ava, Asha, Aubrey, Jake.
He was predeceased by his wife, Alma; brothers, John, Gerald, Willard; sisters, Thérèse, Alvina.
As per Emile’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Meteghan Funeral Home. A public graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 17 at 4pm in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Saulnierville officiated by Rev. Hospice Akoffodji. Donations may be made to the Villa Acadienne Charitable Foundation or the Sacred Heart Cemetery Fund.
