Elodianne Légère
1939 ~ 2020
Cocagne, NB — Elodianne Légère, 81, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, on Wednesday, August 12th, 2020.
Born in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late Charles and the late Léa Richard (born Daigle).
Elodianne will be dearly missed by her children, Eugène (Denise Cormier) of Cocagne, Patricia (Gilles Poirier), Régis (Élise Poirier) both of Shediac River, Gilles (Diane Nowlan) of Cocagne and Gilberte Poirier (Joe Leger) of Shediac Bridge; her brother, Alfred Richard of Pointe-Sapin; her sisters, Antoinette Richard of Ste-Anne-de-Kent, Zella Martin of Baie-Ste-Anne and Gabriella Léger of Dieppe; her grandchildren, Sylvie (Luc), Bernard (Veronik), Nicole (Mathieu) and Julie (Nick); her great grandchildren, Joël, Véronique, Janie, Jordan, Alexis and Spencer; as well as several brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Besides her parents, he was predeceased by her husband, Armand (May 2020); her sister, Florine; and her brothers, Vital, Léonard and Cyrille.
Visitation will be held at St-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church’s slumber room, on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020, from 2pm until time of the funeral service at 4pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Moncton Residence and the staff of the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for all the great care and support provided to Elodianne and her family.
In memory of Elodianne, a donation can be made to CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology), Alzheimer Society – NB (Dementia) or to the Epilepsy Foundation.
