Obituary of Elmer Joseph Provost
Joseph Elmer “POPS” Provost, 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Berwick on November 1, 2020. He was born February 20, 1941 to the late Lawrence and Mary Ann (LeBlanc) Provost in Arichat.
Elmer had a really good sense of humor and always enjoyed a good time. He was the life of any party he attended. For those who knew him really well, he would want you to raise your glasses have one last laugh with him.
Elmer is survived by his children Lawrence, New Waterford; Pamela (Terry) Deering, Berwick; Angela, Florence; Nicole (Tommy) Dibbin, Louisburg; grandchildren Jamie, Jesse, Josh, Jillian, Matthew, Amanda and Courtney; great-grandchildren Jessica, Ashlynn, Chloe and Parker; sister Priscilla MacDonald; and a large circle of cherished family and friends.
Besides his parents, Elmer was predeceased by his sisters Gladys, Eileen and infant sister Theresa.
Cremation has taken place, by request there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations, in Elmer’s memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
