Obituary of Elmer Bell
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elmer John Bell who died peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. He was born in Sus, NB on December 17, 1934, husband of Wilma (Tabor) Bell and a son of the late Harvey and Minnie (Veysey) Bell.
Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma; son Tony (Tanya) Bell of Sus, NB; grandchildren: J.C. of Sus, NB, Benjamin of Esterhazy, SK; Grant of French Village, NB; great-grandchildren Noah, Sadie, Corben, Alexa; sister-in-law Edie Bell; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son John Bell; brothers Curtis, Ray, Lloyd; sisters Jean Bell, Dorothy Flesh and Murial Stedman.
Elmer had several employers during his career, which included Wheaty Scribner, Lawson Motors, W. H. Smith Garage, Sus Ginger Ale, Glendale Homes and retired from the Sus Irving Sawmill. He also owned and operated Crown Taxi in Sus.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus (506-433-1176). Due to COVID-19 a private funeral service will take place at a later date.
