Elmer Nelson Beers
Elmer N. Beers, 79, of Moncton,
passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, December 20,
2020.
Born in Browns Yard, he was the
son of the late Freeborn and Mabel (Cail)
Beers.
Elmer was a retired CNR
Electrician with 35 years’ service and former proprietor of
E.N. Beers. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, spending time at the family
cottage in Targettville and socializing with family and
friends.
Elmer will be sadly missed by
his wife, Emily (Williston) Beers of Moncton; children, Wanda Black
(David) of Moncton, Lorne (Bonnie) of Lakeville, Westmorland Co. and
Rhonda Beers of Moncton; grandchildren, Scott, Alex and Katie; great
grandson, Logan and beloved dog, Harvey; sisters, Iris Dressler
(Dennis) of Enterprise, ON and Margaret Wood (Gordon) of Moncton, as
well as several nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
In addition to his parents and
stepfather, Leonard Soucoup, he was predeceased by brothers, Orley,
Robert and Floyd.
Due to current COVID-19
restrictions, a private service to celebrate and honour
Elmer’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home
Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). Interment will be in
St. Paul’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Browns
Yard.
