Obituary of Elma Blanche O’Brien
O’Brien, Elma Blanche – age 100 of Halifax. With appreciation of a life well-lived, the family of Elma O’Brien announce her passing which occurred on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Judson and Jessie Cleveland.
Survived by one son John Michael; daughter-in-law Pearl; and two grandsons John William and Daniel Kirk. She was predeceased by her husband John Kirk and sister Jean Bauchman.
Elma was a member of St. Paul’s United Church in Spryfield and a life member of the United Church Women. A member of the Topaz Rebekah Lodge for 52 years, she was a past Noble Grand.
Her favourite hobbies were bowling, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She had a great love for her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. A graveside service will take place at 11:00 am on September 3rd at Camp Hill Cemetery.
