Elizabeth (Betty) Anderchek (Tierney)
The family announces with sorrow the death of Elizabeth “Betty” Anderchek, who passed away peacefully at the Timmins and District Hospice on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her husband Louis in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Debbie (Ghislain) Ouellet, her sons Denis and Stephen (Nada) Anderchek. Dear grandmother to Stephen (Amanda), Lisa (Trevor), Michael, Melissa (Travis) and Jonathan (Mireille); as well as ten great-grandchildren and one
great-great grandchild. She leaves behind her sister Shirley (Ed) Lafreniere as well as her brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Betty was an avid bingo, bridge player and bowler. She also enjoyed going to the Timmins Senior Citizen Centre to socialize. She was a huge fan at all games played by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty was a devoted catholic and liked to help at church events. The family would like to thank Dr Hopkins and the staff at Lasalle Retirement Home for the great care given to Betty. Respecting her wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lessard-Stephens Funeral Home. Remembrance donations to Timmins and District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
