1941-2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce
the passing of Elizabeth Ann Wilson, age
78, of Amherst, formerly of Joggins, NS. Ann passed away at
the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Tuesday, May 5,
2020.
Born in Croyden, England, she was a
daughter of the late James and Ethel (Smith) Sparks.
Ann was a member of Trinity United
Church, River Hebert, and a long time member of the Al-Anon family
group.
She will be dearly missed by her son
James (Irene) Wilson, Hampton, NB; daughters Brenda Mitchell and Cathy
Wilson, both of Shediac, NB; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3
great great grandchildren; sisters Vicki, Patsy, Susan, and Pam;
brothers Michael and Billy.
She was predeceased by her husband
Russell Armstrong and brothers Albert and
Butch.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where family will gather on Thursday,
August 6, 2020, from 1 pm until 2 pm to greet visitors, followed
immediately at 2 pm by her funeral service, William Drysdale, DLM,
officiating. Attendees are asked to wear a mask and respect
social distancing. This is a public service, all are welcome
to attend. Following her funeral, she will be laid to rest
in the River Hebert Cemetery.
Those wishing to make a memorial
donation in Ann’s memory may do so to the Trinity United Church, River
Hebert, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
