Born on January 3, 1948 in Montreal, Canada. Died suddenly on February 22, 2020 in Oakville, Ontario at 72 years of age in the presence of her husband, daughter and close friends, Marie, Tara, Gabrielle.
Raised in Ottawa and graduated from University of Toronto, Ann was a vibrant and very independent woman. She enjoyed a long and successful career as a program advisor for licensing of daycare centres for the Region of Peel. Before adopting her daughter Marti, Ann enjoyed many years of being a foster mother to several children and adolescents.
During her retirement years, she travelled extensively, enjoyed walks along Lake Ontario and found a passion for sewing as a hobby. As well, Ann focused many volunteer hours supporting Meals On Wheels.
Predeceased by her parents, Brock Rousseaux MD and Charlotte Elizabeth Brown, Ann leaves behind her soul-mate Dixon, her daughter Marti (David), step-daughter Lizzy (Claire), step-son Richard (Stella), grandchildren (Caroline, Ben and Sadie-May), siblings (Peter-deceased, Raya) many friends, cousins, nieces & nephews. Special thanks to the first responders and staff at the OTMH for their care and compassion.
Cremation has occurred. A celebration of Ann’s life will take place later this spring. In lieu of flowers or donations please consider treating a friend to lunch in Ann’s memory.
