Élianna Desbois (Gionet)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury, Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the age of 96 years. Wife of the late Eugène Desbois. Daughter of the late Nicholas and the late Georgina (née LeBouthillier) Gionet. Beloved mother of Laurent Desbois and Patricia Pelto (Bruce). Dear sister of Jacqueline Rioux (late Jacques), Ernest (late Rita) and Patricia Lajambe (late Bernard). Predeceased by her siblings Romuald (late Rita), Eutrope (late Aline), Adrienne Desbois (late Olida), Roger (late Jeannine), Gérard (Éveline), Edouard (Lily), Joseph and Léonard (Hélène). Cherished grandmother of Erik, Tanya, Lise, Mélina, Tauno and great-grandmother of Trisha, Ariel, Cameron, Keenan, Julien, Connor, Sébastien, Damien, Adèle, Danté and Lilith. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Wednesday, August 5, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Ste-Agnès Church, Azilda. Interment to follow in Chapleau. Due to the current pandemic, restrictions on the number of attendees on our premises will be enforced. Masks will be mandatory. Donations can be made by cheque to Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church, Blezard Valley (Elevator Fund) or a charity of choice.
