Tributes
Eileen Coyle of Almonte passed away quietly April 28, 2020 at the age of 97. Eileen was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and lived most of her life in Ottawa. She helped her parents with their butcher shop on Kent Street and in the war years, like so many young women, worked in a factory to support the war effort. Eileen married Michael Coyle and raised their family of four children in Ottawa. She worked for Supply & Services Canada until her retirement in 1983. Eileen is survived by her children David (Cathy Mason), Ann (George Charbonneau), Catherine (Martin Charlton) and Jane (Patrick McDermott). Grand Children; Emilie, Lauren, Lindi, Amy, Matt, Keri, Connor, Peter, Sarah. Great Grandchildren; Maia, Niko, Jack, Amelia, Sophie, Violetta and Sierra and daughter-in-law Mary. Pre-deceased by brothers Patrick, Malachy, Owen, Gerald & sister Wendy. Survived by sisters-in-law Terry & Rose & many nieces and nephews on both the Collins and Coyle sides of the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Almonte Country Haven as well as Sweatergang for their care and support. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, contributions may be sent to the Ottawa Food Bank in Eileen’s memory. Tributes, condolences, and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
