Edwina “Win “Margret Rose Comley, age 78, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Bruce County, daughter of the late Ted and Vera (Scott) Ash. Loving and proud mother of her daughter Rose (Ed) Schuett. Grandmother of many grandchildren and great grandchildren, GG will always be fondly remembered by the Schuett family. Win was a lady of many talents and many friends. She worked alongside her husband Don in all of life’s adventures from work in the restaurant and gas pumps at Comley’s Restaurant & Towing, and later to farming and raising championship dogs. She took pride in assisting her daughter with dressmaking in the bridal store and she always jumped at the opportunity to solve a unique challenge and learn new skills. Win enjoyed sharing and caring for her family. She will be missed dearly. Win is survived by her siblings: Mary-Lynne Senay, Wilma (John) Wraight and Jim Ash along with many nieces and nephews. Win was predeceased by her husband Donald Comley (2018), her son David Comley (2019) and by her sister Leona Oehm (2018). In keeping with Win’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will take place at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford. As expressions of sympathy memorial donation may be made to the Pediatric Cancer Research or the Pancreatic Cancer Research at LHSC through the funeral home. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
