Obituary of Edward Walter Furlinger
Edward Walter Furlinger
1931 – 2020
With sadness the family of Edward Furlinger announces his peaceful passing on March 30, 2020 at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook, B.C.
Ed was born in Graz, Austria and was raised in Vienna where after finishing technical school became a baker and a chocolatier. Eventually he came to Canada in 1951, where he married his wife Louise and they raised three children.
Ed thrived in Canada, enjoying fishing and hunting and spending time at the lake when he could. He loved Jazz music and played various instruments as a hobby. Ed will be fondly remembered by family and friends, as a loving father, husband and true friend. May he rest in peace.
The Furlinger family would like to express their thanks to all the nurses and staff of Joseph Creek Care Village for their care and support, as well as close friends that went out of their way to help and care for Ed.
Ed is survived by his wife Louise of 64 years, son Doug (Jennifer), son Brian (Manon) and daughter Lynette, six grandchildren, Brother Herbert of Austria and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time.
Arrangements entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services.
