Peacefully after a courageous battle, surrounded by family on Friday evening, April 17, 2020 in his 83rd year, we lost a remarkable man. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Collin, James, Shailyn, William, Steven, Matthew, Ryan, Cameron, Annie, Maggie, Tracy, Christina (Jamie), Catherine, Alexandra, by his great granddaughter Grace and his very close friend Diesel. Predeceased by his parents Alfred and Christina Myrtle Edwards, by sister Colleen, father-in-law and mother-in-law Arthur and Annie Daigle, sister-in-law Nancy, brothers-in-law Charlie and John, niece Bernadette, nephews Roger and Johnny. Also lovingly remembered by sisters Betty and Dorothy, daughter-in-law Julie, sons-in-law Wayne, Jeff, Tom, by his nephews and nieces Franklin, Mark, Phillip, Loretta, Pearl, Cathy, Matthew, Michael, Jimmy, Terri, Christina, Diana, her husband Rick and by great niece Nicole. Alfred spent his life learning, exploring and creating. An avid lover of art and literature, he loved to build, draw, and write. He was most happy when he was in nature, exploring, lost in a good book or winning in a game of Chess or Quiddler. He especially enjoyed gardening and firmly believed you could never have enough roses. Alfred loved his family tremendously and was a wonderful husband, father, grandaddy and friend. He was a great conversationalist and storyteller, a good listener and a strong dance lead. He will be lovingly remembered and truly missed. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Chalice Canada in Alfred’s memory.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of EDWARDS
Alfred Matthew
