It is with great sadness that the family of Edward “Eddy” Parenteau announce his passing on December 24, 2020, in Prince Albert, SK.
Edward is survived by his wife of 30 years, Lucille, his children: Cheryl, Sean, Treena, Dolores, and Mark, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents Pat and Rose, his first wife Julia, son Lance, siblings Patsy and Elmer, nephews Billy and Philip.
For over 30 years, Edward had a long career as a truck driver. He drove for Palm Dairies as well as other companies. Prior to that, he served with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry during the late 1950s.
Edward had many things he enjoyed in his life, including golf, fishing, playing guitar and singing with friends and family. His trips to the bingo hall and the casino were always a highlight as well.
A Public Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. Restrictions will be enforced such as: masks, social distancing, only thirty people in the Chapel at a time with facilities monitored, etc. as per Government of Saskatchewan COVID-19 Regulations. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made in Edward’s memory to the Canadian Lung Association, 2308 Arlington Ave Saskatoon, SK S7J 3L3.
