Obituary
DENIEF, Edward William – Passed peacefully away in his sleep at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on March 26, 2020, Edward William Denief, age 75 years. Predeceased by his wife, Hilda Denief (nee St. John); his parents: Mary and Patrick Denief; sisters: Delores Denine and Patsy Denine. Leaving to mourn his loving, caring and devoted daughter, Karen; son, Keith of Timmins, ON. Edward also leaves to mourn a large family of brothers and sisters: Ronnie (Dawn), Paulette Hogan (Tom, deceased), Pat (Ann), Maxine Cunningham (Bob), Robert, Johnny (Lol), Danny (Nancy), Robert (Sandy), Darlene (Danny Pynn); as well as extended family and friends. Special thank you to Karen Young, Dr. Stephen Darcy, Public Health Nurse Kelly Ralph, Dr. Robbie McCarthy and all the staff and nurses at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital. A special thank you as well to neighbours Ken, Tammy, Joe, Frank, and Anita for your acts of kindness, your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated; also, to Pat Carey for being such a kind and thoughtful contractor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Due to the current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 a memorial mass for Edward will be livestreamed from St. Peter’s Parish at www.saintpp.com on Saturday, March 28 at 1:00pm for those who would like to attend the online mass. The mass will be followed by a private family burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of visitation, the family and staff of Barrett’s Funeral Home encourage people to post their condolences, share photos, and tributes by visiting the online memorial guestbook at www.barretts.ca.
