September 16, 1949 – January 5, 2020
Mr. Edward Roy Blakeley of Claresholm, Alberta passed away on Sunday January 5, 2020 at the age of 70 years.
Edward was born to parents Roy and Evelyn Blakeley on September 16, 1949 in Brossard, Quebec. Edward was the youngest with an older brother.
Edward is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan Blakeley (Fodor), his sons Benjamin Blakeley and Brian Blakeley (Laurel Benson). His Step daughters Lynette(David) Miller, Jenice (Thomas) Wharton; his grandchildren via Lynette, Olivia and Dylan Miller. Dogs Coco and Bailey
Edward has always had a great love of Cars and anything with a motor. He was an avid member of Porcupine Hills Classic Cruisers in Claresholm and many other car clubs throughout Alberta.
After retiring a few years ago from Standens Spring Calgary, Edward and his wife loved to travel with their R.V. and their pets all over North America.
Edward will be missed and will always be remembered as a wonderful father, a devoted husband and a loving grandfather.
At Edward’s request, no formal funeral service will be held. A Celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2020.
