March 25, 1950 – January 8, 2020
Ted was born and raised in Peterborough, ON. Following a stroke, he joined his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 69.
Beloved husband of 49+ years to Marlyn Hawks (Quackenbush). Loving father of Kimberly Mitchell (Jamie) of Oshawa, and Benjamin Hawks (Catalina) of Oshawa. Loved grandfather of Tristan (Cheri-Ann) Mitchell, Luis Hawks, and Rowan Mitchell. Lovingly remembered by his surviving siblings, Larry Hawks and Faith Cameron, as well as his many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and their families. Cherished friend and mentor to many.
Ted is predeceased by his parents, William (Bill Sr) and Alberta (Bertie) Hawks, as well as brothers, David Hawks, Rodney (Rod) Hawks, and William (Bill Jr.) Hawks.
Ted was a long-time member of the Salvation Army Church in both Peterborough, and Oshawa.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 22, 2020 at Wilmot Creek.
