Crimless, Edward Phillip “Ed”
August 25, 1931 – August 22, 2020
Passed away peacefully on August 22, 2020, just shy of his 89th birthday. Birthday’s and family gatherings were a big part of his life. Ed had two loves in his life. He shared 27 years of marriage with Barbara (nee Campbell) and they were blessed with three children. His life journey continued and he was fortunate to meet Aletha “Lee” (Parkes) and shared 37 years of marriage. He was the much loved Father to Kathy (Steve Papillon), Paul (Patricia Duffy), and Colleen (Robert McClure). Proud Poppa to Brett (Kristin Papillon), Amy (Chris Muir), Cameron Crimless and Kayleigh McClure. Great grandfather to Ethan Muir and Spencer Papillon. Cherished Uncle to Elisha (Leon) Piper and Anthony Tousignant. Predeceased by his little sister, Marie (Gill Tousignant).
Ed was most happy spending time with his family and listening to their stories, he will be greatly missed by all that knew him. His favorite toasts and sayings (“different strokes for different folks“) will not be forgotten. A full life well lived! A successful entrepreneur throughout his career, Ed is best remembered in the community as the owner of Ed’s-In-N-Out for 29 years. He enjoyed working with people and always had a smile and easy laugh for his customers. He was a kind and generous sole and was always willing to help those less fortunate. Whether sponsoring local teams or driving Cancer patients later in life, he always enjoyed helping others. A kind and caring gentleman in the truest sense. Ed’s family is grateful to Pat Kelly and her team at Fox Run for their wonderful care and commitment to helping Dimentia patients and to the Team at Head Waters Hospital (D & E Wing) for their compassionate care.
Given COVID restrictions, there will be a private family Mass and burial.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
