Edna May (Sutherland) MacLennan of Moncton NB passed away
peacefully at the K.E. Spencer’s Memorial Nursing Home on Friday,
October 23, 2020 at the age of 89.
Born on November 16, 1930 in Killam Mills NB she
was the daughter of the late William and Ethel (O’Neal) Sutherland.
Loving Mother to Gail Blackmore (Larry), Carolyn Kelsey (Dennis) and
Nancy Paterson (Robert); Proud Grandmother of Justin Kelsey (Martine),
Jordan Kelsey (Antonia), Gregory Blackmore (Tara), Joshua Kelsey,
Thomas Kelsey, Michael Blackmore, Tavani Guthreau (Ryan), Allana Berry
(Gordon), Tiffany Kelsey, and Angie Pineo. Great-grandmother of Davina
Kelsey, Josiah Kelsey, Hannah Kelsey, Ahelia Kelsey, Bentley Berry,
Caleb Berry, Isla Guthreau, Beau-Dennis Berry and Calum Guthreau.
Sister of George Sutherland (Shirley), sisters Margaret Sutherland,
Sue Scott, Glenna Sutherland, Gwen Church; niece Beverley Steeves,
nephew Dannie Sutherland (Cathy). She was predeceased by her parents,
sister Winnifred Coates, Betty Berry and her brothers Thomas
Sutherland, Russell Sutherland and Lorne Sutherland.
Edna worked at Eaton’s in her younger
years, and later as a manager at Lynn’s Jewellery. She was a
caring and thoughtful person who put God first. Her acts of kindness
and genuine hospitality has touched many lives.
Edna served faithfully in her local church, always
willing to serve wholeheartedly. She loved to entertain friends, and
started lasting family traditions celebrating special occasions. She
will be deeply missed, but now rests in the arms of her Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ.
Memorial service will be held at a later
date.
